Jackson Hole & Old Faithful
Join us for some of the most majestic mountain scenery in America!

Day 1: We meet at your town of departure to board our bus to O’Hare Airport, and check in for our flight to Las Vegas, where we will overnight at the Orleans Hotel where it’s Mardi Gras year round.

Day 2: We leave Las Vegas and head towards Salt Lake City, traveling through charming St. George, Utah founded during the Civil War by Mormon cotton-growers. We continue on to our hotel for the evening and dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Day 3: Today we travel into Wyoming through Kemmerer where J.C. Penney opened his first store, then on through the alpine Star Valley. We will then settle in for four nights at the ‘49er Inn in Jackson where cowboy days come to life with the raised wooden sidewalks and old-fashioned storefronts offering such Rocky Mountain specialties as huckleberry treats, whimsical wood carvings, wildlife photography, Western clothing and more. Day 4: Today we travel though majestic Grand Teton National Park with lunch at the Jackson Lake Lodge. You won’t want to miss the world’s longest running shootout, held on summer nights in Jackson. (B, L)

Day 5: Today we head off to some of the most amazing geological sights in the world as we head into Yellowstone National Park with a local guide and we watch “Old Faithful” shoot thousands of gallons of water into the sky. (B, L)

Day 6: After breakfast we head off for an unforgettable 10 mile float trip on the Snake River, as the magnificent Grand Tetons serve as our backdrop. Then we will visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art featuring works by such artists as George Catlin, Eugene Delacroix and Charles M. Russell. (B, L)

Day 7: After breakfast we leave our hotel and head through Idaho Falls to Blackfoot for a visit to the Idaho Potato Expo. We will then continue on to Pocatello and our hotel for the night, dinner will be at our hotel. (B, D)

Day 8: Today we travel to Montpelier to visit the National Oregon Trail Center at the very spot of the historic Clover Creek encampment with displays re-creating the era when travelers would stop here for days to refresh. The main exhibit takes you back to what if was like in the 1800s on the Trail. Then we continue on to our hotel in Provo for the night. (B, L)

Day 9: Today we cross into Utah for a brief visit to Cedar Breaks Monument on our way to Mesquite Nevada. We end our day at the CasaBlanca Hotel & Casino where we will have a farewell dinner. (B, D)

Day 10: After breakfast we head back to the airport in Las Vegas for our flight back to Chicago. (B)

We will use a major airline from Chicago to Las Vegas round trip – the flight might operate either out of O’Hare or from Midway Airport.
