Villages of Puget Sound
Discover the wonderful villages of Puget Sound by cruiser and motorcoach with the delights of Victoria too.

Day 1: We meet at your town of departure to board our bus to O’Hare Airport, and check in for our flight to Seattle. Upon arrival in Seattle, we are transferred to our hotel where we settle in for a two-night stay. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore on your own.

Day 2: We have breakfast at the hotel before we leave for a narrated tour that includes panoramic views form the Space Needle, Pioneer Square with its century-old buildings, and Hiram Chittenden Locks where trout and salmon make their way over a gigantic fish ladder. The afternoon is fee for you to visit the waterfront Pike Place Market and possibly have a seafood lunch. This evening we will have dinner at our hotel. (B, D)

Day 3: After breakfast we begin a leisurely drive to La Conner and the beautiful Skagit Valley. After lunch on your own, we will board the Viking Star for an early afternoon cruise to Orcas Island where you’ll spend the next two nights, dinner this evening will be a “Chowder Fest”. (B, D)

Day 4: Today we will be served breakfast onboard the Viking Star as we cruise toward Roche Harbor for a brief visit to San Juan Island. Then, look for Orca whales on the west Shore of San Juan Island as we are treated to a seafood feast on board. We return to Orcas Island and dinner this evening will be at our hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 5: We leave Orcas Island and cruise back to La Conner via the Viking Star. Then we will drive to Deception Pass Park with time to stroll the beach and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. Next, we depart for Whidbey Island, the village of Coupeville and Ebey Landing Historical Reserve, as well as Oak Harbor where we will spend the night, dinner this evening is at our hotel. (B, D)

Day 6: This morning after breakfast we head to Keystone Ferry Landing on Whidbey Island for the ferry crossing to Pt. Townsend. We will have plenty of time to browse all the shops and have lunch on our own in this beautiful Victorian neighborhood. We will then motor through Pt. Gamble and on to Poulsbo, known for its Scandinavian import shops and restaurants. In the late afternoon, we will depart for Gig Harbor where we will have dinner at our hotel. (B, D)

Day 7 & 8: We will have time to browse in the village of Gig Harbor with lunch on our own. We then will return to the Seattle pier where we will board the Victoria Clipper for Victoria and two nights at the Chateau Victoria. While here we will experience the beauty of world-famous Butchart Gardens and a guided tour of Victoria. We then have a choice of either visiting the nearby Royal British Columbia Museum, one of the best in the world, or going to the stately old Empress Hotel for high tea in the Old English atmosphere. Tonight a farewell dinner is planned at our hotel. (Day 7 –B; Day 8- B, D)

Day 9: After breakfast and check out we re-board the Victoria Clipper catamaran back to Seattle and our flight home to Chicago. (B)

We will use a major airline from Chicago to Seattle round trip – the flight might operate either out of O’Hare or from Midway Airport.
