| Fundraising has become an integral part of student traveling, whether your tour departs for Cleveland or Barcelona. We have gotten a lot of advice from directors about which fundraisers work well. Below are some best known fundraising activities for you to review.
Good luck!
- Wreath and Poinsettia Sales: This fundraiser is done best when sales sheets and money are collected by Thanksgiving, and you can hand out the greenery at your Christmas Concert. What better way to make money and sell-out your show?

- Cheesecake and Pie Sales: A gourmet selection of delicious desserts makes for a great fundraiser! As far as timing is concerned, holidays are the best bet: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.

- Brand Candies and Lollipops: Everyone has done it, we know. But it works! Sell them at every special event: All Concerts, Football Games, Homecoming, Candy-Grams for Valentine’s Day, during lunch breaks, etc

- Raffle at your next concert: Solicit local companies to donate their services and products (ex. Gift certificate to Starbucks, Wal-Mart Gift bag, Stuffed Animal from Toys ‘R Us, GC to local restaurants) and raffle them off at your next concert. The raffle tickets can be sold before the concert, and the prizes can be handed out at intermission and/or at the end of the concert. If your boosters are really organized, try a silent auction!

- Flower Bulbs: Last minute springtime Fundraiser: More and more groups are discovering the ease and success of using bulbs as a means of fundraising. Start selling and collecting the money before your Spring trip!
